Hear Hear! But isn't there only enough material for one more SA Doom Patrol archive? When did the revival start? Wasn't it aroudn the Crisis? Wouldn't that be too soon for an Archive? (although I'd love more Morrison DP TPBs!!!!)

I adore the Doom Patrol Archives. I did not expect them to be as good as they are. Bring on Volume II!

I think there is enough material to take us to volume 5.
There is a thread somewhere on this board.

The solo Robotman story is one of the greatest Silver Age DC Comics I've ever read. Robotman loses his arms and legs one by one, and *still* manages to accomplish his objective.

What a blast...

I hadn't planned on getting this one, but I really enjoy the current Doom Patrol comic, and I found Volume 1 of the Archives used for $25 and couldn't pass it up. What a great discovery. Count me in for as many future volumes as DC is willing to publish.

I wish they were fast=tracking Doom Patrol instead of Thunder Agents, I really do.

But I want action figures of all four DP'er's to be released in conjunction with Volume Two! That's the only way you can make it up to me, DC...

Yes, more! The only series I will buy all of are SA Green Lantern and Doom patrol archives.

GL needs to go to issue 75, since 76-89 is in the GL/GA collection.

Yeah! And maybe a typical 7-piece PVC set: Robotman, The Chief, Elasti-girl, Larry Trainor, Negative-Man, Mento, and Beast Boy.

Or scrap the last two and just have three Rita Farr figures: tiny-size, normal, and giant-size.

So, would the Negative Man figure be two-dimensional? And would it be black and glowing?

Hmmmm. Maybe it could be the typical-looking Negative Man (black silhouette with yellow spikey aura) printed on acetate. That way he'd be almost 2-D.

If they do make such a PVC set, it is likely a Vol. 2 archives for Doom Patrol will go along with it. Otherwise, it would seem to depend on the year's sales for the first DP archives...because I think there will be some time passing before they try to launch the Doom Patrol concept yet again. That might be the next chance otherwise.

Just guessing here... If it were up to me, Vol. 2 would be out by now and we would be looking forward to Vol. 3 by the end of the year.

Vol. 1 was a fantastic read, and I'd gladly spring for a complete Archive collection of the original run.

Yeah, but when no one has had anything to say in week, and all YOU'VE had to say is bump, doesn't speak well for this thread.

Let it drift to the back pages and bump it when you've got something to say.

See the Sandman request thread for a nice example of letting a topic build up some steam over a few weeks before getting bumped. A new flurry of comments with each bump.

Further volumes of the Doom Patrol archives is an excellent idea. I'm told the first volume is selling quite well.
